Responsible holidays with the Camping Qualité label

Label Camping Qualité

Alongside the commercial campsite chains that play the quality card, there is an official label recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, which aims to guarantee an optimum customer experience while promoting responsible and sustainable tourism.

Clichés die hard: campsites have long been associated with "down-market holidays". To change the image of camping in the collective imagination, the FNHPA - Fédération nationale de l'hôtellerie de plein air (campsite owners) and the FFCC - Fédération française de camping caravaning (association for the defence of campers) set up the Camping Qualité charter in 1999. Supported by the French Secretary of State for Tourism, Camping Qualité has long been the only official label recognised in the outdoor hotel industry...

The Camping Qualité label is a benchmark in France for holidaymakers looking for campsites offering impeccable services and pleasant surroundings. The label aims to guarantee the best possible customer experience while promoting responsible and sustainable tourism.

However, this label is not only for the best-equipped campsites. A small site with no facilities or entertainment can be awarded Camping Qualité status if, among other things, it displays impeccable cleanliness or a warm welcome. On the other hand, a four-star site can be rejected.

The values of Camping Qualité

Rigorous quality criteria

Campsites awarded the Camping Qualité label must comply with a very strict charter containing over 600 criteria. These criteria cover a wide range of aspects, such as reception, cleanliness, environmental management, quality of infrastructure and clarity of information provided. Audits are carried out by independent bodies to guarantee impartiality.

A network committed to the environment

Camping Qualité attaches great importance to ecology. The campsites in the network adopt environmentally-friendly practices: waste sorting, sustainable water management, reduced energy consumption, and local initiatives to preserve biodiversity. Some campsites go even further, offering holidays focusing on green tourism.

Ethics and fairness

The Camping Qualité booking system stands out for its ethical approach. Unlike many platforms, it takes no fees or commission from campsites. This allows managers to maintain competitive rates and devote more resources to improving their services.

Diversity of campsites

The network includes a wide variety of campsites, from small family campsites to 5-star establishments with top-of-the-range facilities (swimming pools, spas, entertainment). You'll find campsites by the sea, in the mountains or in the countryside, to suit different budgets and holiday styles.

In short, Camping Qualité is a guarantee of confidence and peace of mind for campers. By choosing a campsite with the label, you can enjoy a holiday in a pleasant setting, with excellent services, while supporting a responsible approach that respects the environment.
