The Quiberon peninsula
On the one hand, the Côte Sauvage and its invigorating air at the top of the steep cliffs splashed by the ocean waves, and on the other hand, pretty beaches sheltered from the wind, which draw the curves of the bay.
Quiberon is located at the end of the peninsula and faces the Atlantic. Renowned for its thalassotherapy, you can relax on the Grande Plage while enjoying an ice cream with your family.
In Saint-Pierre-Quiberon, the most difficult thing will be to choose your beach among the 17 proposed, some of them are supervised in summer. The walk at the end of the day on the port of Portivy will allow you to discover the chapel of Lotivy and to observe the magnificent sunset.
Very popular with surfers of all levels, Plouharnel, located at the entrance to the Presqu'île, will also appeal to lovers of old stones with the village of Sainte-Barbe. Those who prefer nature will be able to observe migratory birds and then return to Quiberon by bike thanks to the cycle paths.
Must-see cities to discover
Carnac is home to the largest menhir site in the world with 3,000 standing stones in a row, while the Morbihan region alone has over 350 megalithic sites. Carnac is considered an important site of prehistoric evidence in Europe. The Museum of Prehistory of Carnac will be a necessary preamble to the discovery you are interested in.
Carnac is also a pretty seaside resort with no less than five different beaches, all well sheltered from the wind.

Locmariaquer is also exceptional for its megalithic site, a real little Breton village with a postcard setting. You must admire the spectacle offered by the sea on the Kerpenhir point at the crossroads between the Bay of Quiberon and the Gulf of Morbihan.
The marina of La Trinité-sur-Mer is a must in this town. Famous for its sailing competitions, it will amaze you with its array of colours. You must take a walk on the Kerisper bridge and its splendid viewpoint.
It is on a rocky islet in Saint-Cado that the famous isolated house with blue shutters can be found. It is possible to walk around the island to get a nice view of the Etel river.
