Visit the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild during your camping holiday
Baroness Beatrice de Rothschild had the villa built between 1905 and 1912 after her divorce from Maurice Ephrussi, a Parisian banker from Russia. It was inspired by the Renaissance style of the Italian palaces of Florence and Venice. She decorated and furnished the interior in shades of pink, her favourite colour. It contains paintings by masters such as Fragonard, woodwork, tapestries, Louis XV and Louis XVI furniture, porcelain and earthenware collections, all of which bear witness to the Baroness's wealth and her taste for luxury and works of art. The villa is surrounded by nine themed gardens (Spanish, Florentine, Japanese, Provençal, exotic) overlooking the sea and creating an enchanting environment.
