The Paralympic Games in Paris - what a programme!
The Summer Paralympic Games will be held from Wednesday 28 August to Sunday 8 September 2024, a few weeks after the end of the "classic" games.
This period falls outside the school holidays in mainland France, so you'll have more choice for your campsite accommodation, especially as campsites remain open in September.
4,400 athletes are expected to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, over 11 days of competition - with the opening ceremony scheduled for 28 August between the Place de la Concorde and the famous Champs Elysées. Courage, determination, inspiration and equality will undoubtedly be the values defended during these events, which aim to achieve sporting excellence and be a source of inspiration and enthusiasm for the world.

The events will take place at 19 competition venues, including most of the venues used for the Olympic events.

Campsites to stay at :
Campsites in Paris
If you want to stay at a campsite in Paris or near the stadiums, you can book a place at the Paris **** campsite, the only campsite within the city.
A campsite in Ile-de-France is also a good choice, as you can easily reach the capital and its various stadiums, usually by public transport. Depending on the competition venues you're planning to visit, here are some campsites to choose from:
Campsites north or east of Paris
If you're attending a Paralympic event in the north of Paris (where many of the competition venues are located: Stade de France, Arena Porte de la Chapelle, Arena Paris Nord...), the easiest option would be to choose a campsite in Seine-Saint-Denis, but there is only one. If you prefer to stay at a campsite to the east of Paris, choose a campsite in Seine-et-Marne, such as the Fredland campsite ****, in Tournan-en-Brie. You can also choose the Village parisien ****, a very attractive campsite in Varreddes, which is just a short train ride from Paris via the Gare de l'Est.
Campsites west of Paris
If you're planning to attend an event west of Paris, you have more choice: there are several campsites in the Yvelines. Choose for example the Paris Maison Laffite campsite **** (access to Paris by RER A train).
If you want to rent a mobile home in a campsite near the castel of Versailles, choose the Huttopia Versailles*** campsite or the Huttopia Rambouillet *** campsite. This pied-à-terre will enable you to easily attend the Para equestrian and Para cycling track events.
Campsites in the south of Paris
If you're looking for a campsite in the south of Paris, your best bet is a campsite in Essonne, such as Le Parc des Roches *** in Saint-Chéron, which is within easy reach of Paris by RER train. You can also choose Seine-et-Marne by booking at La Rivière Dorée ***, which has the Tourisme & Handicap label and is 1 hour from Paris by train, or at Ile de Boulancourt *** (but be sure to hire a car to get to Paris).
Campsites in Châteauroux
To watch the Paralympic shooting events, book at Le Rochat Belle-Isle **** in Châteauroux or at another campsite in the Indre .
