Which campsite to attend the Paris 2024 Olympic Games?

From Wednesday 24 July to Sunday 11 August 2024, Paris will host the famous and highly anticipated Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, 100 years, almost to the day, after the 1924 Paris Games. Would you like to attend these games? The campsites near the stadiums are an ideal accomodation. Find out where to stay.

On 26 July 2024, the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Games will not take place in a stadium, but on the Seine through Paris.

Each sports delegation will have its own boat to sail down the Seine for 6 km, starting at the Pont d'Austerlitz, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, with a planned finish at the Pont d'Iéna in front of the Trocadero. 600,000 spectators are expected on the banks of the Seine - some of whom will have free access - to watch the spectacle and make this ceremony a moment of popular sharing unprecedented in the history of the Games.

Which campsites to stay at during the 2024 Olympics

Where to stay during the Olympic Games?

Looking for cheap and convenient accommodation to attend the Paris 2024 Olympic Games? It's decided, you'll choose a mobile home in a campsite and combine the useful (easy access to the stadiums and discovering Paris) with the pleasant (enjoying a natural stay in a beautiful campsite in Ile de France).

Camping in Paris

If you want to stay at a campsite in Paris or near the stadiums, you can book a place at the Paris campsite ****, the only campsite within the city.

A campsite in the Ile de France is also a good choice as you can easily reach the capital and its various stadiums, usually by public transport. But how do you choose your campsite?

Campsites north of Paris (Île-de-France)

If you are attending an event located in the north of Paris (many competition sites are located there: Arena Porte de la Chapelle, Arena Paris Nord, Stade de France, Aquatic Centre, Le Bourget climbing site...), it would be easiest to choose a campsite in Seine-Saint-Denis, but only one exists.

Camping west of Paris (Île-de-France)

If you are planning to attend an event west of Paris, you have more choice: there are several campsites in the Yvelines. Choose for example campsite Paris Maison Laffite **** (access to Paris by RER A).

If you want to rent a mobile home in a campsite near the Golf National or near the Château de Versailles, choose the Huttopia Versailles*** campsite or the Huttopia Rambouillet *** campsite.

Camping east of Paris (Île-de-France)

If you prefer to stay at a campsite to the east of Paris, you can choose a campsite in Seine-et-Marne, such as Fredland **** in Tournan-en-Brie, or Le village parisien ****, a very nice campsite located in Varreddes in Seine-et-Marne, which allows you to reach Paris by train via the Gare de l'Est.

Camping in the south of Paris (Île-de-France)

If you want to find a campsite south of Paris, try to book a campsite in the Essonne region, such as Le Parc des Roches *** in Saint-Chéron, which is within easy reach of Paris by RER train. You can also choose a campsite in Seine-et-Marne, such as La Rivière Dorée***, which is 1 hour from Paris by train, or Ile de Boulancourt *** in Seine-et-Marne (you'll need to hire a car to get to Paris).

Camping near Marseille

To watch the sailing events, choose a campsite near Marseille or, for example, in nearby La Ciotat: we recommend La Baie des Anges campsite ****.

Camping in Châteauroux

To watch the shooting events, book at Le Rochat Belle-Isle campsite **** in Chateauroux or at another campsite in the Indre.
