Update 1/3/2022: health or vaccination passes are no longer required for access to campsites in France

The health pass will be necessary to access many activities in the campsites, from Wednesday 21 July: access to the swimming pool and theatres accommodating more than 50 people, to bars and restaurants from the beginning of August... This means that holidaymakers who do not have a vaccination certificate will have to present a valid PCR test that is less than 48 hours old at all times, and that site managers will have to check health passports on a permanent basis when accessing these facilities. A real headache!
A single sanitary pass control at the campsite entrance
A simple solution has been found, to the great relief of the outdoor hotel industry: a one-off check of the health pass will be carried out on arrival at the campsite, at the start of the holiday, but no longer during the rest of the stay.
This solution will ensure that campers' holidays are not "spoilt", as they will not have to undergo frequent access controls within the campsite, and they will not have to look for ways to be tested several times during their stay. In a way, it's "an evil for a good".
In accordance with national measures, checks at the entrance to campsites will begin on Wednesday 21 July for sites with a swimming pool or an entertainment hall for more than 50 people, and on 1 August 2021 for other campsites with only a bar or restaurant, or a swimming pool of any size.
On the other hand, smaller campsites with no swimming pool, bar-restaurants or entertainment venues will not have to check the sanitary pass on arrival.
Young people aged 12 to 17 still exempt from the health pass
In accordance with the decisions of 13/07, the measures concerning the compulsory health passport only concern adults over 18 years old, young people from 12 to 17 years old not being subjected to it until the end of August 2021. This good news will allow our teenagers to enjoy the leisure activities and services of the campsite without any constraints.
What about the campsite staff?
At the level of the establishment, salaried staff in areas where a pass is required (e.g. catering) must also show proof of a valid health pass.
